I am delighted to announce that I am joining the incredibly talented team of entrepreneurs at ChattyKathi as a co-founder.
We all know what it’s like to want to reconnect — either with the friends with whom we lost touch, or even with the people we meet through work or our hobbies who we don’t get to know because that first awkward step is too daunting. Enter ChattyKathi — a different kind of social platform that focuses on deeper connection and meaningful conversations rather than self-promotion. Kathi is a web-based program that sends automated, curated conversation starters to small groups of people via text. Our science-based algorithms select prompts based on each group’s interests and engagement to build positive experiences and heartening interactions in a world that can feel artificial and cluttered. In my new role as Chief Strategy Officer, I will be responsible for building a go-to-market strategy and developing our partnerships program with community-oriented businesses. Those of you who have been a part of my career journey for the past few years will know that I am passionate about bringing people together to share in meaningful conversations. I am confident that this is the perfect next step on my path. Throughout the past month as we tested the ChattyKathi beta, I have gotten to know the team and really understand the potential for this company. We have an opportunity to push past the contrived culture of current social media platforms and help our users reconnect with their support networks. Maybe we can even build a culture of belonging in a time when many of us feel disoriented and detached by opening an invitation to join engaging, fulfilling and fun conversations with one another.
